{"id":95322,"date":"2005-11-09T05:15:00","date_gmt":"2005-11-09T05:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a5511a25-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2005-11-09T05:15:00","modified_gmt":"2005-11-09T05:15:00","slug":"a5511a38-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a5511a38-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"SGA returns this Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saipan Golf Association is hoping for Mother Nature to show a little love to local duffers from the fairways to the greens of Coral Ocean Point in As Gonno this weekend during the November Ace of the Month qualifier.<\/p>\n<p>According to SGA secretary Larry Guerrero, some of the island&#8217;s top strikers will be on hand this Sunday, Nov. 13, at the COP to vie for the low score and the SGA&#8217;s top billing on Saipan&#8217;s southernmost course.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to all of the bragging rights, the SGA is offering prepaid turkey roast packages for special events including a number of closest to the pin, longest drive, and the worst score events.<\/p>\n<p>Chances are that Joe Deleon Guerrero will not be in the running for the worst score, as he bested a field of 22 competitors to take the October Ace last month at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort&#8217;s beautiful and challenging east course.<\/p>\n<p>Guerrero bested the bunch with a net score of 65 thanks in large part to his 23-handicap that aided his respectable gross score of 88.<\/p>\n<p>The show time for this weekend&#8217;s outing is 8am with the first tee time at 8:30am.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the SGA or any of its events, contact SGA president Ben Aldan by calling 234-3176, Larry Guerrero at 287-1052, or Joe Sablan at 664-3907.
