A flip of the bottle, a glass toss, and the sway of the hips were not the only highlights of Bar Wars II, as a female bartender humbled all comers to rule the countertop Wednesday night at GIG Discotheque.<\/p>\n
Vino Bar\u2019s Dayann De Leon rose above her male counterparts and was declared the champion for the amateur category, beating two-year champ Charlton Lipa of Aqua Resort Club.<\/p>\n
Lipa ranked second during the competition but still managed to bag the \u201cBest in Taste\u201d award for his concoction \u201cZig Zag\u201d\u2014a combination of whip cream, milk, and cream.<\/p>\n
De Leon said she really worked hard on her \u201cflair,\u201d improving by leaps and bounds what she showed during the first Bar Wars in August. She said being the only woman in bartending competitions is always a challenge, but being a veteran, plus her drive and inspiration,literally proved to be a good mix in Bar Wars II.<\/p>\n
The Bar Flair\u2019s Champ Hwangkyungrok won the International Category by default after would-be participants from Japan and Guam failed to show up.<\/p>\n
