I have lost everything except for the lives of the members of my family. I have five children and, without the courage and presence of mind of their mother, some of them or even she may probably have lost their lives to the fire.

We have survived that tragedy and that is why we are very grateful to the people of this community who helped us and gave their support so that we could get back to our lives and move on. Thanks to the Oleai Elementary School’s principal, faculty members, students and parents, to the Hopwood Junior High School’s principal, school staff, teachers, and students, to the Rotary Club of Saipan Internationals’ officers and members, to Hon. Juan Lizama who donated to us a double family-sized bed (It’s a good place to start), to Uncle Ben’s Music and Dance Studio’s owners and artists (parents), to Lynn Corella for her generous mental support and counseling, and most especially to the officers, staff, and volunteers of the American Red Cross.
