Saipan\u2019s club habitu\u00e9s will be treated to an evening of reminiscing when GIG Discotheque whips up a retro party aptly dubbed \u201cBlast from the Past\u201d slated today, Dec. 28, from 9pm until 2am.<\/p>\n
A live band will belt out revival repertoire to suit the theme and resident DJs will be dropping the popular retro beats that will keep everybody in motion. Prizes will be given away to the best retro costume.<\/p>\n
This party is co-presented by 103.9 KZMI, the official party station.<\/p>\n
SUNDAY IS BALLROOM NIGHT AT GIG<\/p>\n
Want to work up a sweat? How about joining Saipan\u2019s ballroom enthusiasts dance the night away every Sunday night at GIG Discotheque? Angel International School of Dance collaborates with Saipan\u2019s Premier Dance Club in coming up with this event starting at 9pm.<\/p>\n
If ballroom dancing is your thing, GIG is the place to be every Sunday night. Belting out your favorites mixes are DJs Virgin Keith and DJ DK. The repertoire includes foxtrot, reggae, swing, salsa, rumba, boogie, tango, samba and waltz. For beginners, professional dance instructors will teach you the ABCs in ballroom dancing.<\/p>\n
For free dance lessons and information, call 235-7770 and look for Saipan\u2019s ballroom master Angel Santos from 9am to 11am and 3pm to 5pm.<\/p>\n
