What\u2019s the difference between small bubbles to large ones in a glass of wine? The answer was shared during the AJ\u2019s Restaurant\u2019s wine tasting event Friday night.<\/p>\n
AJ\u2019s introduced at least seven new wines sponsored by the Marianas Pacific Distributors, Inc. <\/p>\n
AJ\u2019s marketing manager Rhea Niishida commended liquor and tobacco sales manager Sheila Peebles for a wonderful presentation of the wines. She said the presentation was so informative that Peebles shared with guests the difference between sparkling and white wine and why there are small bubbles in the wine and its difference from the large bubbles.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was very interesting as well as entertaining,\u201d she said. The seven wines introduced that night were Mumm Napa Cuvee, Mumm Blanc de Noir, Mumm Prestige Brut, Wente Pinot Noir, Wente Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Wente Pinot Noir Reserve, and WB Est. Chardonnay Reserve.<\/p>\n
The exclusive wine tasting event at the restaurant was well attended by the likes of Pat Tenorio-Palacios, Frances Borja, Nick Sablan, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Palacios, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Manglona, Abed Younis, and Christy Alegre, among others.<\/p>\n
Niishida said she was quite satisfied with the turnout of the event. \u201cGuests also started to buy and try our new wine.\u201d Niishida said the wines they introduced that night would not be available off the shelf on public supermarkets. These wines, she said, could only be purchased in restaurants like AJ\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Friday night\u2019s runaway seller was the Pinot Noir, said Niishida. <\/p>\n
The restaurant marketing manager said the wine tasting event was a first for the piano bar and restaurant. She said they would be holding a bigger wine tasting event in February due to the success of the event.<\/p>\n
AJ\u2019s has lined up several dining event this month. Niishida said the restaurant would hold a Rose Bowl day for college football lovers. The restaurant will open from 9am on Jan. 5 for the Rose Bowl championship game.<\/p>\n
