The Northern Marianas College-Community Development Institute is still Hyatt Regency Saipan\u2019s premier provider of outsourced professional development programs, according to an NMC statement issued last week.<\/p>\n
The Community Development Institute has been closely working with Hyatt to provide the hotel\u2019s employees with high-quality professional development classes. <\/p>\n
\u201cCDI provided Hyatt with a Microsoft Excel I course in November and a Microsoft Excel II is set to begin in January,\u201d said the statement.<\/p>\n
NMC said CDI is also providing periodic English language development training to Hyatt employees where the next session is currently being created. <\/p>\n
In related news, CDI is currently coordinating a unique English Language Development Program for a group of 47 Japanese college baseball players from Josai Kokusai International University. The statement said the participants are part of a group of 100 baseball players from Japan who will be traveling to Saipan in February 2006 for a two-week baseball spring training camp. <\/p>\n
The English Language Development Program will involve 30 hours of instruction and will be conducted in conference rooms at the Saipan Grand Hotel where the players will be staying. <\/p>\n
NMC Japanese instructor Sachiko Adachi has been instrumental in developing a relationship between NMC, Josai Kokusai International University, and Josai Daigaku University. <\/p>\n
