He and his wife Vanessa were congratulated by Coca Cola Beverage (Micronesia), Inc. officials and sponsors yesterday.

The couple, who have been married for the past 11 years, remains childless, so the additional two tickets for the trip will be given to their nephews or nieces.

Vanessa said she and her husband would have to raffle off the tickets to nieces and nephews who would be joining them in Hong Kong Disneyland, possibly this April or May.

“We will hold a raffle with their names so that no one will get hurt. So that it will all be fair,” she added.

The couple won an all-expense paid trip to Hong Kong Disneyland that includes roundtrip airfare for a family of four, with a three-night stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland resort and a $1,000 Visa gift card.

“Coca-Cola is thrilled for the Leon Guerrero family,” said Coca Cola sales and marketing director Kathryn Barry, adding that she enjoyed making the call to the winner. She said it has been so much fun to be able to share in their excitement.

Pat Leon Guerrero said at first he could not believe the news until he got a call from Barry. He said he was nervous but when Barry confirmed the happy news, he immediately called his wife, Vanessa, who was at work at that time.

Vanessa said she repeatedly asked her husband if he was just pulling her leg about the news. “Because he likes to joke around,” she said, poking her husband during the interview. She finally believed him when her husband explained everything to her.

Pat, 35, and Vanessa, 34, said they would take the trip in April or May so they would still have time to save for more spending money.

Vanessa works for First Hawaiian Bank. Pat and Vanessa said they are Coke drinkers. “I will always be a Coke drinker from now on,” Pat said.

Barry said the Coca Cola promo would not have been possible without the support of the CNMI community.

“So our thanks go out to our sponsors, retailers and consumers for making this possible.

KZMI station manager Harry Blalock and Saipan Tribune’s publisher John Pangelinan also attended the news briefing yesterday at the Coca Cola office in Chalan Lau Lau.

Angelito Pamintuan, a nonresident worker from the Philippines, won the first grand prize draw in early December while the third winner has not been disclosed by Coca Cola as of press time. Barry said once the third winner has been verified, information would be released accordingly.

Pat Leon Guerrero will pick from among 10 nephews and nieces to join him and his wife, Vanessa, in a trip to Hong Kong this April, after the 35-year-old Pacific Pest Control employee won Coca Cola’s Hong Kong Disneyland Family Trip promo.

[4

post-96860","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
