Sutherland<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>The Rollers Basketball Club is holding its April Fool&#8217;s 5-on-5 Basketball Tournament starting on April 27 at the Garapan Basketball Court. Games will run from 4:30pm through 9pm.<\/p>\n<p>This is a all-out, full court double-elimination tournament played under two 16-minute halves. The competition will be split into two divisions-U18 and U25-and the entrance fee is $50 per team.<\/p>\n<p>There are already four U18 teams expected to suit up and five U25 squads with slots still available. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 2 teams of each division.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to promoting a healthy proactive lifestyle, the tournament also serves as good practice for some upcoming basketball competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, RBC&#8217;s U18 Saipan 1 (U25) and Saipan 2 (U18) teams will be featured in next week&#8217;s caging.<\/p>\n<p>The teams are gearing up for its appearance in the upcoming Micronesian Basketball Tournament, scheduled for May 21.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, proceeds raised from next week&#8217;s event will go toward RBC&#8217;s U14 squads trip to Manila, Philippines where they will appear in the Pacific Rim Manila Goodwill Tournament this coming July<\/p>\n<p>Although they are on the greener end of the lower division, some of these players may be seen competing in the U18 division as well.<\/p>\n<p>The RBC is still looking for potential banner sponsors who would like to offer their support.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact Joe Diaz at 285-4141 or email joediaz41@gmail.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Walter J.
