Later she told investigators she was just lying. As a result, police put her behind bars.

Liona C. Enriquez, 29, was detained for alleged obstruction of justice. A $1,000 bail was set for her temporary liberty.

Detective Simon T. Manacop stated in his report that Enriquez had called the police on Jan. 19, 2006 at 2:35am, telling them that she was raped by two men.

Manacop said that, according to Enriquez, she was walking along 16 Highway in Chalan Kiya at 10pm when a white car stopped beside her. She said a male passenger grabbed her face and dragged her inside the car.

The suspects allegedly covered her eyes and brought her to a beach where they raped her. She said the two men told her to lay face down on the sand, then left her.

Enriquez claimed that she also lost $50 during the incident.

At 8pm on the same day, Enriquez called the Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Bureau and told Manacop she knew the suspects.

This prompted Manacop to interview one of the two men mentioned by the defendant.

Manacop said the man admitted he had sex with Enriquez at the beach but that she consented to it.

On Jan. 23, 2006, Enriquez went back to CIB and stated she wanted to drop her complaint because she was just lying about the rape.

She said she actually used the $50 and that her family would be mad because she had spent the money, according to Manacop.

Police decided to place the defendant under arrest.

A woman allegedly complained to police that two men had raped her.
