The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is hopeful that it will get more help from the government, citing that newly installed leaders have expressed willingness to help improve the business climate in the CNMI.<\/p>\n
\u201cA number of lawmakers have opened their doors to discussions. The new administration has always been vocal about its pro-business policy. We\u2019re really looking forward to working closely with them,\u201d said Chamber president Charles V. Cepeda.<\/p>\n
He disclosed that he has in fact been invited to be part of a \u201cthink tank\u201d formed by the new administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cI look forward to the first meeting of Governor [Benignor R.] Fitial\u2019s think tank committee. \u2026I believe this will be the working group to come up with ideas to focus on issues being brought up by the different organizations,\u201d said Cepeda.<\/p>\n
Earlier, then Chamber president and now vice president Alex Sablan said he looks forward to seeing \u201ca positive change\u201d in the CNMI economy under the Fitial-Villagomez administration. <\/p>\n
