{"id":98049,"date":"2006-02-15T03:14:00","date_gmt":"2006-02-15T03:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a655b1e1-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2006-02-15T03:14:00","modified_gmt":"2006-02-15T03:14:00","slug":"a655b1f4-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a655b1f4-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Japanese performer holds concert on Rota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japanese\u2019 performing artist and TV personality Jun Nagasawa will hold his post-Valentine concert tonight and tomorrow evening on Rota.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tom Mendiola, member of the newly formed National Chamorro Association of Mariana Islands, Nagasawa will perform tonight at the Coconut Village Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow evening, he will be joined by local artists in another performance at Rota Round House pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>Mendiola said the free concerts are part of the Rota-Japan friendship celebration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [Nagasawa] is a famous singer and TV personality in Japan. We are so excited to welcome him here,\u201d Mendiola said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Nagasawa was invited by local officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been here before. He came back because he fell in love with Rota. He is particularly interested in the culture, tradition. He finds Rota more of a cultural destination.
