Japanese\u2019 performing artist and TV personality Jun Nagasawa will hold his post-Valentine concert tonight and tomorrow evening on Rota.<\/p>\n
According to Tom Mendiola, member of the newly formed National Chamorro Association of Mariana Islands, Nagasawa will perform tonight at the Coconut Village Hotel.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow evening, he will be joined by local artists in another performance at Rota Round House pavilion.<\/p>\n
Mendiola said the free concerts are part of the Rota-Japan friendship celebration.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe [Nagasawa] is a famous singer and TV personality in Japan. We are so excited to welcome him here,\u201d Mendiola said.<\/p>\n
He said Nagasawa was invited by local officials.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s been here before. He came back because he fell in love with Rota. He is particularly interested in the culture, tradition. He finds Rota more of a cultural destination. He finds it more relaxing,\u201d said Mendiola.<\/p>\n
He said about 60 fans from Japan followed Nagasawa to Rota.<\/p>\n
