Although the band only played at the Guam Premier Outlets location in Tamuning, Wendy\u2019s donated a portion of Saturday\u2019s proceeds from both Barrigada and Tamuning restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Guam Honor Band would like to thank Wendy&#8217;s for giving us the opportunity to do a fundraiser with them. Wendy&#8217;s is helping us meet our goal to get to Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p>When they heard what we were raising money for, they were behind us 100 percent. Wendy&#8217;s is a great corporation,\u201d said Vicki Hammer, fundraising coordinator for the Guam Honor Band.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran music teacher, Charles Hardy will lead the Guam High School Honor Band as they go head to head with other young musicians from around the world including Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and Canada. Comprised of students from Simon Sanchez, John F. Kennedy, George Washington, DODEA High Schools, St. John\u2019s School, Father Duenas Memorial School, Academy of our Lady of Guam and Harvest Christian Academy, the brand represents the musical enthusiasm and aptitude of our island to the fullest.<\/p>\n<p>If you missed your chance to listen to the talented sounds of our youth, the Guam Honor Band will perform this March 3 at the Tumon Bay Band Festival at the Hotel Okura, Orchid Room.
