The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is again this year offering two workshops to help businesses prepare their taxes. These valuable workshops are open to the public.<\/p>\n
The Individual Tax Preparation Workshop will be held Tuesday, March 7, at the Hyatt Sui Lan Room; time of the workshop is 8am to noon. <\/p>\n
Expert presenters will address important topics that include: <\/p>\n
Changes in the law, <\/p>\n
\u2022 Residency requirements<\/p>\n
\u2022 How to establish amount of taxes withheld each pay period to avoid overpayment and avoid penalties for underpayment.<\/p>\n
\u2022 How to talk to your accountant<\/p>\n
Cost of the workshop is $10 per person for Chamber member employees and $20 per person for non-Chamber members. Pre-registration is required; call 233-7150.<\/p>\n
The Corporate Tax Preparation Workshop will also be held at the Hyatt Sui Lan Room, on the morning of Thursday, March 9. Time of the workshop is 8am to noon. Again, expert presenters will present information on topics such as:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Limited liability companies<\/p>\n
\u2022 Retirement and wealth transfer<\/p>\n
\u2022 Recent tax law changes.<\/p>\n
