The Northern Marianas College will host this year\u2019s \u201cMarianas-Japan Cultural Exchange Night\u201d on May 12, 2006 from 6pm to 10pm at the Civic Center Beach area next to the Sabalu Market grounds. <\/p>\n
NMC president Tony V. Deleon Guerrero said the event intends to promote a greater understanding and friendship between the CNMI and Japan.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, the Seisa Group, a private school system from K-16, is planning to bring about 350 students and 50 staff members,\u201d said Deleon Guerrero.<\/p>\n
NMC would gather around 200 students, staff members and local dignitaries for the event.<\/p>\n
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will also bring a small group of about 20 students and teachers from the Oshima Kaiyo-Kokusai Senior High School to participate.<\/p>\n
Dean Jeanette Villagomez, Debbie Diaz and Rodney Cabrera compose the NMC Planning Team for the upcoming cultural night. <\/p>\n
