This really progressive writer had a lot of clever things to say about economic diversification, albeit a little too late for our own local decision makers to do anything with.<\/p>\n<p>Ironically, he has almost exactly the same sort of far out ideas that I do. I suppose we both suffer from the same perceptual disorder. Most of his writing has a faintly misogynous overtone that the V Day crowd finds to be a painful, localized itch.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, or maybe ironically, I agree with him that the hegemonic influence of leftwing States has caused most of our local economic ills and will continue to do so unless we can cause a coalition of clich\u00e9\u2019 driven stakeholders to proactively alter our quality of life toward a more positive, egalitarian vision.  It is almost exactly what he would want to happen.  No more fiscal quagmire for us.  The cash-strapped government would be on its way to financial freedom!<\/p>\n<p>Sorry, Mr. Stephens, I just couldn\u2019t help it. The Devil and Daniel Webster made me do it<\/p>\n<p>Bruce A.
