The Saipan Bowling Association will hold its two-day April Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament on Sunday, April 9, and Monday, April 10, at the Capital Bowling Center.<\/p>\n
Sunday’s roll-off would begin as early as 4pm, while Monday’s competition starts at 6pm. Awarding ceremonies immediately follow the end of competition on Monday.<\/p>\n
Members have the option to bowl on the Sunday or Monday, or on both days, provided that the $15 entry fee is paid. Bowlers who did not bowl on Sunday will be given priority for the Monday shift. <\/p>\n
The number of bowlers will be limited to 80 players on Sunday and 56 players on Monday. Only the higher score will count for the tournament. The champion is guaranteed $100 in prize money but it could go up to as much $150 depending on the number of participants. Women participants will only have separate prizes if there are at least 10 entries.<\/p>\n
Youth bowlers (12 to 19 years old, not bowling in any leagues or averaging less than 160 in any league) will only bowl on Sunday. Entry fee is $10.<\/p>\n
The Pepsi King and Queen of the Lanes Tournament aims to crown 12 monthly champions through the course of the year. <\/p>\n
