He is a relative of the victim, police said.

During a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman imposed a $5,000 cash bail for Amon’s temporary liberty and set the preliminary hearing for April 12.

Detective Patrick Earl Maanao stated in his report that photographs of the boy’s body show scratches on his face, stomach, and legs.

Maanao said the boy’s face seemed like the skin had been peeled off.

Maanao said that, on March 28, the boy had arrived at the house between 6:30pm to 7:30pm and was very dirty.

The grandmother asked the boy to take a shower but he just sat in the bathroom. Amon allegedly got mad and directed the boy to take a shower. The boy later came out, but was still dirty.
