If these issues have troubled you and you\u2019d like some guidance toward improvement, you\u2019ll want to attend the \u201cFundamental Skills of Communicating\u201d and \u201cImproving Employee Work Habits\u201d workshops that will hosted by the NMC Small Business Development Center. <\/p>\n
In the \u201cFundamental Skills of Communicating\u201d workshop managers and team leaders will learn to design clear and concise messages, understand and comprehend non-verbal communication clues, improve listening skills, and overcome barriers to understanding\u2026such as psychological, cultural and situational. <\/p>\n
The \u201cImproving Employee Work Habits\u201d workshop will guide the manager in distinguishing between job performance and work habits, dealing with unsatisfactory work habits early in the process, clearly explaining unsatisfactory work habits that focuses on behavior, involving the team member in the process of correcting the behavior and building controls into the process of improving work habits.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ken Shankweiler, principal of KIS Communications, is currently on Saipan to teach the courses. His seminars have been presented across America at major universities and to major corporations such as General Motors, Motorola and AT&T. He holds degrees in psychology and engineering and has spent more than 30 years in management. He has held titles of vice president, general manager and director of engineering. He is the former chairman of continuous improvement for a $4 billion Fortune 500 company.<\/p>\n
