{"id":99986,"date":"2006-04-20T08:08:00","date_gmt":"2006-04-20T08:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a6dbe185-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2006-04-20T08:08:00","modified_gmt":"2006-04-20T08:08:00","slug":"a6dbe195-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/a6dbe195-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Players rally for Faheem\u2019s farewell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been a while since the top local teams donned the board shorts for any serious competition, but now the kings and queens of the beach have a chance to bump, set, and spike on the Garapan sand for the Bon Voyage Beach Volleyball Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>In light of Club Elan manager Faheem Ebrahim\u2019s imminent departure from Saipan, Hyatt Regency Saipan has assembled a three-on-three co-ed beach volleyball tournament to give him one last chance at going out on top this Sunday, April 23.<\/p>\n<p>The plan is for teams to be formed prior to registration, but organizers will play the part of match makers for those who wander in solo. Teams are limited to no more than four players and registration gets started at 9:15am with the opening serve crossing the net promptly at 9:45am.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGet your boardies on and hop on down because it\u2019s my last weekend in town and I\u2019m bringing my A-Game,\u201d said Ebrahim. <\/p>\n<p>The cost to register for a chance to spike on Ebrahim in his Saipan swan song is $10 per player and includes fruit, juice, sushi rolls, chips, salsa, access to Club Elan, and a weekend\u2019s worth of volleyball crammed into one day at the beach.<\/p>\n<p>There are also lunches, brunches, and possibly a room night up for grabs for the tournament\u2019s most valuable player.
