Nominees named for Businesswoman of the Year

First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business have joined forces to launch the First Annual Businesswoman of the Year Maga’haga Award Program. The program is a cooperative effort to provide recognition to businesswomen who have made a difference and “raised the bar” in the field in which they are involved.

The Maga’haga (Chamorro term for princess) Award will be given to the Businesswoman of the Year at a gala on Saturday, May 6, 2006, in conjunction with the release of Guam Business’ second quarter issue, featuring a commissioned photo study of the recipient on its cover. Proceeds from the gala will be donated to the University of Guam to sponsor scholarship programs and will be presented to the university at the event.
