Marianas seminar in Japan a success
The Marianas Visitors Authority recently coordinated a three-day Marianas Seminar for travel agencies and media in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, Japan.
The Marianas Seminar, held at Subir (Akasaka, Tokyo) on April 24, Hard Rock Café (Nagoya) on April 25, and Hilton Osaka on April 26, included presentations by Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines introducing their flight services between Japan and Saipan.
MVA board vice chair Marian Aldan-Pierce and board treasurer Yoichi Matsumura attended the seminar.
A total of 321 travel agencies and media participated in the seminars. The participant breakdown for each city was: Tokyo, 138; Nagoya, 78; and Osaka, 105.
The workshop allowed the participants to meet with 23 vendors on a one-on-one basis, providing an opportunity for each of the participants to discuss and gather sales information for their prospective clients.
MVA also held a raffle draw for the participants after the workshop. Several vendors donated all of the prizes.
“It has been a great comfort to know that our longstanding and solid partnerships with the Japanese Travel Trade have continued to show us great support and strength. By working closely together, excellent results for all involved can be achieved, and I am positive will prove a tremendous success for all involved,” said Aldan-Pierce. (PR)
