Fighters hit Trench Tech before Trench Warz
By the time this story hits the newsstands, Trench Warz III: Commotion would already be a thing of the past and fans as well as fighters will be already looking to the next edition.
Trench Warz hit Saipan as scheduled last night at the Trench Tech Purebred Saipan Gym, but before the fans got to see some hard-hitting mix martial arts action, the fighters were briefed on all the rules and weighed.
Just hours before the event kicked off, event coordinator Cuki Alvarez and his Trench Tech crew were busy putting on the final touches. Scheduled were 17 matches, and fighters in those bouts had the chance to see who they were going up against during a photo shoot after weigh in.
It wasn’t time for action yet, but fighters were already standing just inches from each, putting on their fighting stance while facing each other.
Although the intensity was already being felt, each fighter kept his cool and cooperated with event officials.
All 600 tickets produced for the event were sold.
The event featured 17 no-holds-barred fights, with Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial and Luka Tapuaialupe facing off in the semi main event, and Slade “Rage” Adelbai (2-0) and Ton “Xcalibur” Nekaifes battling in the main event.
Results were not available as of press time.
The event also served as a fundraiser for the upcoming 6th Micronesian Games.
