Some villages on Saipan continue to have no water supply yesterday due to leak repairs in the Kagman water tank, according to the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.

CUC spokesperson Pamela Mathis said most of Kagman area got back their water supply after the Kagman water tank was filled yesterday at 6:30am.

“We diverted the water back to the customers,” said Mathis.

But Mathis explained that residents living above ChaCha High School, which is in higher elevation, will have no water in the next few days until the pressure in the pipelines are enough to push the water up.

She said San Vicente customers would not have water until today, while Papago residents will receive water on Friday.

“If they have problems, like in Papago and San Vicente, they can call the Mayor’s Office for assistance,” the CUC spokesperson said.

On Monday, CUC fixed leaks on the 1.0 million gallon water reservoir in Kagman. To determine the severity of leaks in the reservoir, CUC had to fill the tank completely.

Fourteen wells were used to infuse the tank with water in 18 hours. As a result, CUC could not release water to customers during that period.
