SGA June Ace to coincide with Santa Soledad tourney

The Saipan Golf Association’s June Ace of the Month Tournament will coincide with the Santa Soledad Golf Tournament set for this Saturday, June 10, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort’s west course.

SGA secretary Larry Guerrero said in addition to the $100 entry fee for the Santa Soledad Golf Tournament, SGA members are required to pay an additional $20 for entry fee for the SGA tournament.

He said cash prizes await winners of first, second, and third place. Showtime and tee time are the same as the Santa Soledad tourney, which are 6:45am and 7:30am, respectively.

Guerrero said he hopes all member of SGA participate in the fundraising event that will be used to improve the Santa Soledad Mission Parish in Kagman. SGA has roughly 25-30 members.

The Santa Soledad Golf Tournament features competition in six divisions—Championship Flight, A Flight, B Flight, C Flight, Seniors Flight, and Ladies Flight. Winners of the divisions will take home cash prizes and trophies.

Marianas Insurance Co., Ltd. has also put up a $5,000 prize for a hole-in-one challenge, which hole has yet to be determined.

The $100 entry fee for the Santa Soledad Golf Tournament may be paid on the day of the tournament. Players are encouraged to register before June 10 for early pairing.

A banquet of roast pig, sashimi, and other local delicacies will be served at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort after the tournament.
