The CNMI Filipino community, through the United Filipino Organization and in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General, Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Philippine Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration, shall be celebrating its 108th Philippine Independence Day. The theme for this year’s Independence Day celebration is “Pagkakaisa Para Sa Matatag na Republika [Unity for a Strong Republic].”

To mark this momentous occasion, a whole day of fun-filled celebration has been prepared for the CNMI community tagged as “Pistang Pinoy,” a popular traditional Filipino festive celebration, on Sunday, June 11, 2006, from 9am, at the Civic Center, Susupe, Saipan.

All interested vendors may contact Flor Miranda at 287-7855. For other matters related to the above celebration, contact Ed Reyes at 287-9727. (PR)
