Party goes voguing ala Madonna
The Queen of Pop, diva and maverick style icon Madonna made it to Saipan—at least in spirit—during a Madonna Night party-cum-house warming held last month.
Party hosts Adam Cafege and Marconi Calindas dedicated the revelry to the musical icon who has gone through years of challenges and transformation, making her one of the most durable musical figures in our lifetime.
Guests trooped to the hosts’ residence in As Matuis clad in Madonna-inspired outfits and accessories. Party people Morgan Rose, Angelo Villagomez, Jonathan Grayson, Tim Johnson, Robb Zeiser, the Lories, Nathan Tan, Bruce Cohen, Bob and Jude Schwalbach, Arin Greenwood, Brian Caldwell, the Resound Band, DFS’ Tatsuhiko Chubachi, Hapi the Clown, among several others, attended the event.
Aims Weiss topped the rest of the Madonna wannabes after being named Madonna of the Night, with an ’80s-inspired outfit that brought back the Desperately Seeking Susan-era of the pop icon.
The group of Villagomez, together with Chubachi, Agnes Donato, Tomoko Shimizu and Haidee Eugenio proved themselves the most avid of Madonna fans after winning the Madonna Trivia Quiz contest that night, beating out four other teams for the coveted title.
Madonna impersonators Sharmaine and Rey also fired up the night with performances of Madonna classics such as Vogue, Express Yourself and Like A Virgin.
