Squadron undergoes change of command

[B]SANTA RITA, Guam[/B]—Mobile Security Squadron 7 is scheduled to hold a change of command ceremony today,Dec. 15, 10am at the squadron’s compound on U.S. Naval Base Guam.

During the time-honored Navy tradition, Cmdr. Erich Diehl will be relieved by Cmdr. James McGrath III. The guest speaker will be Rear Adm. Donald Bullard, commander of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command.

Diehl, who assumed command of MSS-7 in March 2005, will report to U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, Va.

McGrath was previously assigned to the staff of U.S. Seventh Fleet in Japan.

The mission of MSS-7 is to protect designated Department of Defense, high-value assets against terrorist attacks in locations where U.S. force protection infrastructure does not exist or requires augmentation. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B]
