Saipan Walking Association, Inc., in collaboration with the Marianas Visitors Authority, will hold the annual Christmas in the Marianas Walk tomorrow along the Saipan Beach Pathway.

“Bring you families and friends for a healthy walk. Finish early and enjoy a festive holiday celebration,” said SAIWAI officer and event coordinator Mario Espeleta.

The walk will start with a 4pm registration at the Chamolinian Cultural Village Utt in Garapan and participants have a choice of taking part in either the 10- or five-kilometer courses of the event. Registration fee is $6, includes event T-shirt and refreshments.

As part of the Christmas in the Marianas celebration, a parade by elementary students has also been scheduled to start beginning at 6pm from the American Memorial Park to the Chamolinian Cultural Village.

It will be followed by costume contest and fireworks. Drinks, BBQ, ice cream, and shave ice will be available for sale during the parade and costume contests.

“See you all there and Happy Holidays to everyone!” added Espeleta.

Like all SAIWAI activities, IVV members will receive credit for joining the Christmas in the Marianas Walk.

IVV has member walking clubs in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, the CNMI, and 29 other European countries, including Germany.
