Angan ends Fatingali streak
Angan made sure no team will go undefeated this season.
Angan ended Fatingalis’ seven-game winning run pulling off an 11-7, 11-2, 7-11 win on Thursday night as action continued in the 9th Annual Pacific Islands Club-Miller Lite Spring Co-ed 4-Person Beach Volleyball League at the PIC sand courts.
Angan caught Fatingali on its off night squeezing out a close first set win and completing the victory with a masterful performance in the second set.
Fatingali put up a resistance of sorts in the third but it came too late as Angan already earned the win to improve to 6-3 in fourth place.
The win was the second straight for Angan after an 11-7, 13-11, 11-13 decision against Snap Crackle Pop.
In other results, Herbalizers and Snap Crackle Pop scored consecutive sweeps over MHS Young Guns, 11-4, 11-4, 11-7, and Brabu, 11-8, 11-7, 11-7. Tsunami defeated 670 Boom Boom, 11-0, 11-4, 8-11.
On Wednesday, the Young Guns scored an 11-6, 11-5, 12-10 triumph over Spiked Punch while Kiss My Pass bested Snap Crackle Pop, 11-2, 13-11, 11-13.
Today’s games will have Kiss My Pass, MHS Okies, 15 Of Fame, Kiss My Pass will face MHS Young Guns, Gigi, Tsunami, Herbalizers. Tomorrow 670 Boom Boom, Brabum Snap Crackle Pop, and Spike’A’Sauras battle MHS Okies, Kiss My Pass, Spiked Punch, and Gigi.
Action continues on Thursday with MHS Young Guns, Herbalizers, 15 Of Fame, and 670 Boom Boom clashing with Fatingali, MHS Okies, Snap Crackle Pop, and Angan. Games start at 5:30pm with the final match slated at 8:30pm.
