Two men were arrested for allegedly sexually abusing two underaged girls on Rota.

Harun Dali, 36, was apprehended for sexual abuse of a minor in the second and third degrees.

Sobhan (full name), 47, was detained for sexual abuse of a minor in the first and 2nd degrees.

The two, both Bangladeshis, were brought to the Superior Court on Saipan for a bail hearing on Thursday.

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman imposed a $62,000 cash bail for Dali as the court earlier set for the defendant’s temporary liberty.

Wiseman, however, increased Sobhan’s bail from $62,000, as the court had previously set, to $75,000 cash because the defendant has a pending sexual assault of a minor case.

As part of the bail conditions, the judge prohibited the defendants from having direct contact with females under 18 years old.

Preliminary hearing in the two cases was set for June 11.

According to police reports, Dali sexually abused a minor who was playing.

Sobhan allegedly sexually abused another minor who asked for his help after being stung by a bee.

Police said Sobhan has a pending case for sexually assaulting a minor. (Ferdie de la Torre)
