What’s the delay?

It’s been days and days, yet many people are still waiting for their stimulus checks to be issued.

I do not quite understand what’s the delay in the distribution. If the delay is all about errors and corrections, then why can’t the processor of the stimulus checks see what the filers need before they even process them, instead of calling the filers a few days later to tell them that there was an error that needs to be corrected. They should observe and identify what is missing on the forms before they even process them.

It is my understanding that these checks are issued by batches but the ones that are supposed to receive their checks should already have them without delay. I urge the employees to get this going because the checks are needed.

As for suggestions that the government garnish the stimulus checks of those who owe the government money, this should not be done because the stimulus checks belong to the people. It is their choice whether or not they should pay off their debts. We all know what is going on and what shouldn’t be done. The stimulus checks should already be distributed. The people are expecting them so that they can get their necessities. It is enough that we are going through gas increases, power bills being raised, groceries as well. With what we are going through with the economic situation, I am sure that there can be other arrangements that can be made rather than garnishing the stimulus checks to pay off whatever the people owe to the government. Think of the crisis and especially the school year is about to end and this can help for the next school year with what the students may need for their supplies. All that we are facing now is the economic depression!
