2010 Micro Games part of agenda in NMASA meeting
The Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight, Nov. 6, 7pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium conference room.
One of the agendas for this evening’s meeting is the 2010 Micronesian Games in Palau. NMASA president Michael White said sports associations that want to send athletes to the Games must signify their intention do so as early as possible.
“All federations wishing to participate in the 2010 Micro Games in Palau must confirm, on your letterhead and signed by your president or secretary general, that you are going to participate, and how many athletes (male and female) you are going to send,” said White in an email to NMASA member organizations.
The NMASA head and many time chef de mission of the CNMI in the Pacific Games and Micro Games said two other important topics will be in the docket during the meeting tonight.
“There will also be important news about a visit from the Pacific Games secretary general and a delegation from the Pacific Games Noumea 2011 Organizing Committee later this month, and about our request to participate in the East Asian Games,” he said.
As always, NMASA member associations will vote for the best athletes for the previous month (October) in four categories (male, female, male student, and female student) during the monthly general membership meeting.
NMASA reminds associations that will be nominating their athletes to submit written nominations in multiple copies to be distributed to members during the meeting. (NMASA)
