[B]SSHS PTA meeting, mid-progress reports[/B]

To all parents, legal guardians of Saipan Southern High School: There will be a PTA meeting tomorrow, Dec.17, 2008, at 6pm in the cafeteria, and also mid-progress report will be issued from 4pm to 7pm. The reports may be picked up at the teachers’ classrooms. All students will be dismissed at 1pm. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B] [B]Kagman High calendar of activities[/B]

-Dec. 16 PTSA at Kagman High School cafeteria. We will connect with Tanapag Elementary School library. Parents/guardians from the northern side of Saipan can come to Tanapag and participate in this meeting via teleconference/polycom from 6pm to 7pm.

-Dec. 18 Principals’ meeting

-Dec. 22 KHS accreditation team meets with BOE/COE

[B]Live-fire training on Farallon[/B]

The U.S. military is currently conducting live-fire training on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla until Dec. 19, 2008, from 9am to 9pm, on the island’s training area on a 10 nautical radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, the Emergency Management Office is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.

[B]Vendors sought for Puengin Inetnon[/B]

The Kagman Komunidat Association is looking for interested vendors to sell food, clothing, games, and other types of family oriented entertainment for “Puengin Inetnon.”

“Puengin Inetnon” is Chamorro for “a night of gathering.”

It will be similar to the Thursday Night Street Market in Garapan except that it will be held every government payday Friday at the Kagman Community Center. Interested vendors, volunteers, and performers may call the Kagman Post Office at 256-POST for more info.[B][I] (PR) [/I][/B]
