Xenophobia
No doubt you and I have heard many Chamorros and statesiders who derogatorily refer to FSMers and Chuukese as inferior (dirty) human beings. When Mr. Vic Cepeda (who was the principal of MHS) made a similar, unforgivable statement in my presence years ago, he probably did not know I was a Mortlockese-Chuukese/American.

When Mr. Vic Cepeda (who was the principal of MHS) made a similar, unforgivable statement in my presence years ago, he probably did not know I was a Mortlockese-Chuukese/American. Apparently, xenophobia and racism are here to stay for many, many years to come, unless we all work together to eliminate them somehow from the hearts and minds of certain individuals.
