Two sue car driver over smashup
A couple has sued the operator of a vehicle that allegedly struck their car at the Microl intersection in San Jose last year, resulting in injuries to the wife.
Chang Sook Kim and Jae Won Kim sued Nobuyuki Kurosawa for negligence.
The Kim couple, through counsel Michael White, asked the Superior Court to order Kurosawa to pay them damages and court costs.
White stated in the complaint that Mrs. Chang Kim was the owner and operator of a 2008 Nissan Altima car, while Kurosawa was the driver of a 2007 Toyota Camry car.
White said that, on March 17, 2008 at 3:31pm, the defendant’s car was involved in an accident with Mrs. Kim’s vehicle at the intersection of Beach Road and Chalan Monsignor Guerrero.
The lawyer said Kurosawa’s vehicle hit the rear of Mrs. Kim’s vehicle, which had stopped for cross traffic.
White said that, as a result of Kurosawa’s negligence, Mrs. Kim suffered severe injuries and “will continue to suffer severe physical and mental pain and anguish.”
Mr. Kim, he said, “has been deprived of the consortium and companionship of Mrs. Kim, all to his damage.”
