Thank you for the honor

I would like to express my gratitude to the many patients in the Saipan and Tinian community I had the honor of working with these past four years. It was a rewarding experience and I enjoyed living on the island.

Despite the numerous difficulties of trying to provide modern, compassionate healthcare to the people of the Northern Mariana Islands, it was my hope to continue an Internal Medicine practice on Saipan. Unfortunately, after four years of dedicated service, my contract was not renewed by the Secretary of Public Health, Joseph Kevin Villagomez.

The timetable of my departure was such that I had little time to express my thanks to so many of you in person as I had to relocate back to the United States where I am in practice again. I wish the best for the people of the islands and hope the leaders of the Commonwealth can develop a sustainable plan that will allow appropriate healthcare for all who populate the community.
