Trench Warz 14 comes to Crime Stoppers’ help
Trench Tech Purebred Promotions will be donating $1 for every ticket it sells in Trench Warz 14: Ground Zero to the reward money the NMI Crime Stoppers Program has set aside for the safe return of sisters Faloma and Maleina Luhk.
Trench Tech president Cuki Alvarez said the disappearance of the two Kagman Elementary School students since last May 25 has affected him deeply so he decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from the June 17 mixed martial arts event to search efforts to locate them.
“I am very sad and angry that the two sisters haven’t been found yet and this donation is just a small and humble way to show our support and appreciation to all the search and rescue personnel and honor their efforts. Crime Stoppers will receive our donation and will add it to the reward money for anyone who can help solve the case,” he said.
Alvarez said the Luhk sisters’ disappearance is a very touching and sad incident and the first of its kind to take place in the CNMI.
“We just don’t have children go missing around the islands! Being a father, it is very heartbreaking for any parent not knowing where their child is, yet alone two of their children at the same time. God bless everyone involved in searching for the two girls and may He guide us to wherever they may be!” he added.
Trench Warz 14 is set on June 17 at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort. Doors open at 7pm and fights start at 8pm.
Alvarez said a total of 15 bouts are currently listed in the fight card, which main bout is a featherweight fight between Trench Tech’s Giovanni “Palaxi” Sablan (17-6) and Tiger Muay Thai’s Mark Streigl (3-0).
Before the Sablan-Streigl bout, a welterweight super fight takes the cage with Trench Tech’s Fasi “Quickdraw” Jesse (7-3) welcoming Underworld Extreme’s Tyrone Jones in his professional debut.
