Suicide Cliff burglary
Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a burglary and theft incident that occurred at the Suicide Cliff in Marpi.
On Monday, June 20, 2011, around 2:45pm, a Korean male tourist, 50, parked his car under a flame tree at Suicide Cliff. The victim was with another Korean male. They walked to the cliff side and took photographs.
When they returned, the victim discovered his personal items missing. Items stolen included a large backpack, Korean passport, flashlight, umbrella, car keys, a Korean Bible, and a Galaxy cell phone. Items stolen are valued at an estimated $600-plus.
There were no signs of forced entry and the car may have been left unlocked. The victims drove to the nearest store in San Roque and contacted police.
