Better protecting our children

We know that in the case of child abduction the sooner investigation begins the higher the chance of finding the perpetrator and rescuing the child.

We know that in the case of child abduction the sooner investigation begins the higher the chance of finding the perpetrator and rescuing the child.

In the Luhk sisters’ case whole day information available more quickly and perhaps help avoid further situations involving this tragic result.

Each school bus driver could be provided with a cell phone and a list of all the children who ride to school on his or her bus along with a list of phone numbers (home and work) of the parents or guardians of each child.

The bus driver would keep track each day of the children that board his or her bus in the morning and if any are absent immediately call the parent or guardian and notify them of the absences of their child.

In most cases the parent or guardian would probably be aware of their child’s absence on the bus and the bus driver would be able to discount any problem.

In a case, however, like that of the Luhk sisters there would be immediate notice and perhaps immediate investigation leading to a positive result.
