The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw is offering free classes on traditional Carolinian song and dance to all interested Chamorros and Carolinians on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
Classes start at 9:30am and end around noontime. Classes are offered at the Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Centers Headquarters at 1213 Capitol Hill Rd., which is across from the CNMI Workforce Investment Agency and next to the CNMI Board of Parole Office. The classes are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office. For more information, call 322-0278. The Tinian Municipal Scholarship board will be having a meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 3pm, at the Tinian mayor’s conference room to discuss the application deadline for school year 2011-2012. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B] [B]Military training on FDM[/B]
The U.S. military will be conducting military exercises on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla on the following schedule:
– July 11-15, 2011, from 1pm to 3am
– July 12-13, 2011, from 8:30am to 4:30pm
The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla training area (R7201) on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants and W-517 irregular polygon south of Guam comprising 14,000 nautical miles of airspace that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest into international waters.
