A man who was arrested last August for allegedly stalking his estranged wife, was arrested again last week on charges he threatened to kill himself in front of her parents’ house where she and their children are staying.

Augustine B. Pangelinan, 38, was arrested for disturbing the peace and contempt of court. A $2,000 cash bail was imposed for his temporary release.

Detective Rhonda C. John stated in her report that on Nov. 6, 2013, the person who served as a third-party custodian for Pangelinan called a police officer to report about the defendant’s offense.

Apparently, the wife complained that Pangelinan called her from work and threatened to kill himself in front of her parents’ house.

The third-party custodian then called Pangelinan and told him that police will be looking for him, but that he stated he did not care because he has a gun.

That same day, a police officer interviewed the wife, who disclosed that on Nov. 5 at about 7:15pm, she was at Ever Clean Laundrymat in Kannat Tabla when Pangelinan arrived on board a pick-up truck.

Pangelinan repeatedly tried to convince her to follow him, but she refused because she’s afraid of him.

The wife said that on the following day, Pangelinan called her at work and threatened he would kill himself in front of her parents’ house. After that conversation, she called Pangelinan’s third party custodian.

A witness said when Pangelinan failed to talk with the wife at Ever Clean Laundrymat, he backed up the pick-up truck, burning rubber, then left the area.
