‘The Crank’ returns with a bang

Frank “The Crank” Camacho announced his return to the octagon cage with a knockout win in the Pacific Xtreme Combat in August in Guam.

Camacho, who took a leave of absence from PXC action for about six years, pummeled Japan’s Koshi Matsumoto with punches to earn a TKO win at the 1:24 mark of the third round of their lightweight bout at the University of Guam Fieldhouse.

“This had to be one of the best game plans implementation in my career. Koshi Matsumoto is definitely no slouch in the MMA world. He is ranked No. 1 Shooto Japanese fighter by FIGHTER Magazine. I really studied him and with the help of my coaches and training partners,” Camacho said in an earlier interview with Saipan Tribune.

The 24-year-old MMA fighter improved to an 11-2 record and earned his ninth win via TKO.

Trench Tech’s Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez also joined the August competition in Guam and won his debut in PXC. Alvarez earned a unanimous win over Spike 22’s Tony “Rush” Reyes in their bantamweight bout.
