SIS reigns supreme

Saipan International School lorded it over in interscholastic indoor volleyball tournaments this year.

The Geckos topped the 2013-2014 MISO Boys Volleyball League for its second straight championship in the annual event. SIS defeated perennial rival Grace Christian Academy in the finals.

The Geckos and the Eagles met anew in the 2013-2014 Coalition of Private Schools Sports Association Volleyball League and the former asserted their might over the other for another championship.

Then SIS bagged its third indoor volleyball title this season after sweeping Mt. Carmel School in the finals of the COPSSA girls high school league.

In other interscholastic competitions on Saipan, Whispering Palms took the junior varsity title in the COPSSA volleyball league, while Marianas High School extended its reign in the MISO girls caging.

Whispering Palms was also victorious in the U12 Interscholastic Football League winning the boys title against SIS and the girls tiara versus San Antonio Elementary School.
