The American Red Cross NMI Chapter provided assistance to the family of a house fire in Dandan on the morning of Sept. 22, 2014.

The single-family dwelling, which was home to a family of four, was completely destroyed by the fire. No one was reported hurt.

The Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the fire scene and worked closely with the family to provide them with much needed assistance for food, clothing and other personal items.

“We can’t thank our donors enough for their continued support of the American Red Cross. Their support brings immediate relief and hope to victims of disasters,” said Paul W. Camacho, Emergency Services director of the American Red Cross. “Furthermore, it allows us to fulfill our mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.”
