Shirley’s FC routs Kanoa FC in youth league

Shirley’s Football Club walloped Kanoa FC, 8-1, during the girls U15 game in the 2014 NMIFA Fall League last Saturday at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.

Katrina Costales and Diana Maniacop towed Shirley’s to victory after scoring two goals apiece. Jasmin Phan, Jerlyn Castillo, Catherine Reyes, and De’ Jana Muna contributed one goal each in Shirley’s demolition of Kanoa FC. Princess Alcantara was the only player to hit the board for Kanoa.

In the other girls U15 match, MP United topped Paire FC, 4-0

Gilliam Villagomez powered MP United to victory after drilling a hat-trick. She made two goals in the first half and scored the team’s last, while Grace Cho also found the back of the net in the second half.

Still at the Hopwood pitch for the co-ed U12 division, MP United was also triumphant after defeating Tan Holdings FC, 4-2.

Mark Esalan delivered a hat-trick for MP United, while Oliver Lee scored the go-ahead in the second half. Esalan tallied his first two goals in the second and 13th minute and got one more in the second half, while Lee lit up the board in the 48th, three minutes after Tan Holdings forced the third deadlock in the match. Thaipi Austria canned the equalizer and also scored Tan Holding’s two other goals in the first half.

In the other co-ed U12 tiff, Paire FC registered a similar 4-3 win over Kanoa FC.

Kaden Church logged the last two goals for Paire to lift his team to the close victory. Nolan Mariano and Dominic Torres posted the two other goals for Paire, while Kirt Andon collected the two goals for Kanoa and Angelo Ada added one.

Over at the Oleai Sports Complex Field for the boys U15 division, Tan Holdings FC and MP United engaged in a 1-1 draw. Matthew Ong scored for MP United, while Junsik Kim gave Tan Holdings its lone goal.

The other boys U15 matches last weekend saw Matansa pounding Shirley’s FC, 5-0. Evan Belcher led Matansa with his three goals, while Chad Shankweiler chipped in two.

In the boys U18 division game, MP United also recorded a 5-0 triumph over Paire FC. Tanapon Unsa stood out in the rout, hitting for goals, while Chris Park recorded the other goal for MP United.
