JKPL extending deadline registration for ukulele classes

The Joeten Kiyu Public Library will be hosting ukulele classes and has extended its registration deadline to Jan. 27, according to JKPL Children Library associate Erlinda Naputi.

Ukulele instructor Larry Lee will be conducting the classes that will begin on Jan. 27 every Tuesday from 4pm to 5pm. Classes cost $50.

“Lee’s class was set to begin Jan. 13, but JKPL pushed it back to Jan. 27,” Naputi said.

The intermediate class is for students who passed Lee’s beginners class or students who have basic ukulele skills and would like to advance their knowledge.

Minimum age requirement is 8 years and older but adults are welcome too. Students must provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold music sheets. Parents must also sign a liability waiver form and must respect the library rules as well.

For more information on the ukulele class, visit JKPL in Susupe or call 235-7316 or 235-7322/23.
