Spartans, Jump It clash for C division crown

The Jokers Spartans and Joe’s DNA Jump It dispatched their respective semifinal foes last week to arrange a title showdown in the Saipan Electronic Darts Association’s Bud Light Cup.
The Spartans coasted to an easy 8-2 decision against Sand Juvy Ta Chagi, while Jump It rallied to escape with an 8-7 win over the Smoke Pub Bull It in a pair of race-to-8 semis contests. The Spartans-Jump It title match is set for tomorrow.

The pair of Jun Santos and Mel Aldan started the one-sided match after disposing of Ta Chagi’s Rita Fitial and Ken Aguon. It was an all Spartans show from thereon.
Aguon and Fitial recorded Ta Chagi’s two wins in the Random Cricket and Double Out events.
It was a different story in the Jump It- Bull It duel with the former rallying in the latter part of their matchup to earn the right of facing the Spartans in the finals.
The Smoke Pub-backed squad was one win away from clinching a finals berth as it was holding on to a 7-5 lead entering the last two events of the match.
However, Ray Bosil and Gus Camacho defeated Sid Camacho and Nei Satur in the first partners game, keeping Jump It’s title bid alive. Kevin Maratita and Joy Maratita leveled the contest by beating Natalie Reyes and Selma Salas to force the team event as the deciding match.
Jump It completed the comeback win after Bosil, Gus Camacho, Joy Maratita, and Erina Olkeriil bested Satur, Ricky Casugay, Natalie Reyes and Sid Camacho in the team event.
The awarding of the regular season and Bud Light Cup winners is set on Jan. 25, starting at 10:30am at Pacific Island Club-Saipan’s Charley’s Cabaret.
