SSHS Manta Band to host Valentine’s Day Fun Run
The award-winning Saipan Southern High School Manta Band will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Fun Run tomorrow at 6:45am starting at the Garapan Fishing Base.

The Fun Run event’s registration starts at 6am and the first 300 participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Raffle drawings will also be held.
Registration fee is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under.
Cash prizes up to $50 will also be awarded for the top finishers in the men, women, boy, and girl divisions.
According to SSHS Band instructor William DeWitt, all proceeds will go toward supporting the Manta Band in raising money for the Los Angeles International Music Festival competition in June.
The school will go head to head with five other critically acclaimed high school wind ensembles if they raise the much-needed funds.
IT&E, Shirley’s Coffee Shop, Cross-Fit, Pacific Sub Sea, Gold’s Gym, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Java Bakery, Coral Ocean Point, Island Apparel, Mariana Ocean, and Saipan Ice are bronze sponsors of the event. PHI Pharmacy and Hyatt Regency Saipan are silver sponsors. The Valentine’s Day event’s gold sponsors are JC Tenorio Enterprises, All Star Sporting Goods, and Athlete’s Foot. Brabu Pharmacy is the title sponsor.
