Guam man dies in traffic crash

HAGATNA, Guam (AP)—Guam authorities say a 26-year-old motorcyclist has died in a traffic crash.

Pacific Daily News reports Jonathan Roy Santos died Sunday in the crash in As an.

Chief medical examiner Aurelio Espinola says Santos died of a skull fracture and a crushed chest and abdomen.

Authorities say the crash occurred when a passenger van pulled onto Marine Corps Drive and collided with Santos’ motorcycle.

Guam Fire Department spokesman Kevin Reilly says both the motorcycle and the van were fully engulfed in flames after the collision. Santos died at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
