Mobil service stations on Saipan will return to normal operating hours starting today, Aug. 13.

According to a Mobil statement yesterday, motorists can continue to refuel their vehicles and fill their safety-approved portable containers with diesel and up to five gallons of gasoline.

Operating hours for Mobil service stations is as follows:
• Open for 24 hours: Middle Road, Chalan Kiya, Kagman, BR Garapan, and Sadog Tasi.
• Open from 6am to 10pm: Susupe, Tanapag, CMG San Jose, San Vicente, and Koblerville.

“Please be assured that we have sufficient stock of gasoline for vehicles based on typical buying patterns, and also ample stock of diesel, to meet the increased usage of generators.

“We would like to thank the people of Saipan for their patience last week, following the typhoon’s impact on our fuel terminal.

“We are expecting our tanker with fresh fuel supplies to arrive on Saipan next week.

“We continue to encourage people to only get fuel if they need it and to only drive if necessary. The congestion of the service stations and on the roads creates unnecessary safety issues, even as the authorities are working hard in their recovery efforts.

“Mobil has been serving the CNMI community for nearly 50 years, providing supplies of fuel safely to enable industry and daily activities. All of us in Mobil are committed to doing our part for Saipan during this time,” the statement said. (Mobil)
